The Secretary read the following letters:-
From Southport Central F.C. for permission to play Wareing.
From St. Mirren offering no objections to our playing Tom
Page and asking permission to play Parker.
From the Football Association returning vouchers re
the distribution of the Benevolent Fund grant and
our grant to the Widow of William Williams deceased.
From Chalmers Hall thanking the Directors for the
use of the practice ground.
From Allan Grenyer expressing his willingness to come
to Liverpool and play for us provided we found him
employment in some Government yard.
From James Galt stating that he had been laid
aside with illness, requesting our assistance in
applying on his behalf to Lord Derby for a commission
and expressing the fear that his football career was
finished.
From Robert Parker stating that he was commencing
work on munitions in Glasgow and asking if he
could play for a Glasgow Club.
From Mr. C. Waddington withdrawing the proposal
submitted to the last meeting of Directors.
The Secretary was instructed to go to Scotland to
interview Parker and Southport to interview
Wareing.
The Secretary's replies to Galt and Grenyer respectively
were reported and approved.
