injured leg and the Secretary reported Dr. Broad's
subsequent examination thereof and as both these
gentlemen expressed the strong opinion that McFadyen
would be fit to play for us in September, McFadyen
had been signed on at £4 per week and his
transfer fee left over for adjustment between Preston
North End and ourselves or by the management
Committee of the League as the case might be.
This arrangement was confirmed.
Whitson Newcastle United having invited our best offer
it was resolved to do nothing meantime.
Central League The Secretary reported that the Annual Meeting
Annual Meeting of the Central League was fixed for Tuesday,
June 9th and it was resolved that the meeting be
held in Liverpool, that an invitation be extended
to the Management Committee and two Representatives
of each of the 20 Clubs to a Motor trip in the
afternoon to Chester and to a dinner at Chester.
Shareholders The date of the Annual meeting provisionally fixed
Annual Meeting for June 8th was arranged for June 15th at the
Central Hall, Renshaw Street, Liverpool.
Brown John Fare reported on the play of this Cambuslang
Rangers right half back and strongly recommended
his engagement.
Resolved that Mr. Kirkwood and John Fare visit
Scotland on Friday with powers to offer him an
engagement for next season and the suggested
terms were £2 in the summer and £3 per week
in the winter.
