		facilities for conveying scholars by tramcar into the
		suburbs, but it was felt impossible to accede to such
		applications.

		The Secretary read a letter of thanks from the Birkenhead
		Borough Hospital to the Directors for sending a team
		to compete in the Hospital Cup Competition.

		The Secretary read the following letter from A. Grenyer:-
		"Just a line asking your advice with regards to my kind
		"of employment. I can be nominated in the Boilermakers
		"Club, but firms will not employ me without being
		"bound for the remainder of my apprenticeship which
		"is three years which I think means to me the close
		"of my Football career, in first League at least. I am
		"at a loss what to do. Hoping you will write and
		"let me know what you think I should do."
		and he was instructed to reply that the Chairman
		would find him employment in Liverpool if he
		would come over.

		The Secretary intimated that L. C. Weller had
		joined His Majesty's Forces.

		Letter of thanks from Liverpool F.C. on behalf of the
		family of the late Mr. Tom Watson for our expression of
		sympathy was read.

		An application from the Chairman of the Wallasey
		Borough F.C. for a further donation in respect of the
		transfer of Kirsopp to us was declined, as was a
		letter from a Lisbon Football Club to send a team
		to play a series of matches in Spain.
