		Schools Athletic Association were playing their match
		here tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

Sunderland F. C. The Secretary read a letter from Sunderland F. C.
Compensation	claiming £200, and the Secretary's action in
		offering to make up their gate on the 6th inst. to
		the amount of their average Saturday gate this
		season was confirmed and it was resolved that
		the matter be left with the League Management
		Committee for adjudication.

		The Secretary reported that he had dispatched new
		footballs to the local Regiments with the Expeditionary
		Force in France and also to the various local Regiments
		at their respective training quarters in England.

Lancashire F. A. It was resolved that Mr. Jno. McKenna be nominated
Nomination of	as the candidate for District 5 of the Lancashire
Candidate	F. A.

		South Liverpool F. C. having written asking for a
		fixture on their ground, it was resolved that same
		be granted for a date between the 21st and 24th
		inst.

		A letter was read from the Earl of Derby requesting
		that those players who had promised to enlist be
		approached with a view to ascertaining whether they
		were prepared to carry out their promise.

		The Secretary reported that John Fare had visited Stoke
		on Saturday, that Watkin did not play and that
		he had ascertained that his character was not too
		good.
