Stevens The Secretary read John Fare's report on this player
(Hull City) that he played very moderately.
Lythgoe Messrs Coffey and Kirkwood reported their visit to
Thompson the Stockport County v Bury match.
Mercer The Lythgoe (centre forward Bury) was moderate,
Davies Thompson (right full back of Bury) very good,
Mercer (inside right of Bury) very good. That
Davies (right half back of Stockport) was very fair.
That both the Stockport backs were good but ancient.
John Fare reported that Brown the Bristol City
inside right played well.
It was resolved that no action be taken in these
cases.
The Chairman was appointed to represent the Club
at the League International match at Glasgow on
the 20th inst.
The Secretary was instructed to ascertain from the
L. & N. W. Rly Co. their terms for an excursion train
to Birmingham on Saturday the 27th inst.
The attitude to be taken by us at the League and
F. A. meetings on the 29th inst. with respect to the
engagement of players for next season was ordered
to be placed on the Agenda for the next Meeting.
