120 [Emergency Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel, January 20th 1915] Present All the Directors except Dr. Baxter and Mr. Green. The Chairman explained that he had convened this emergency meeting to consider a letter received from the Football Association this morning intimating that Harrison had been suspended for one month and Parker for 7 days, both suspensions to commence today. The matter was fully discussed and it was resolved that the Directors protest :- (a) That the receipt of the statements and covering letters sent to the Football Association on the 13th inst. had not been acknowledged. (b) That our request repeated for a commission to investigate not only the dismissal from the field of the 3 players but also the conduct of the Referee, had been ignored. (c) That our request, that failing the granting of a commission, statements by Mr. R. E. Lythgoe and others might be permitted, was also ignored. (d) That the decision of the Emergency Committee had been arrived at in the absence of any Representative of the Club. It was felt by the Directors that had the F.A. acquiesced to our request for a commission to investigate the several matters herein sufficient oral and written evidence could have been produced by us resulting in the complete acquittal of our players and the Secretary
