[Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel,
November 3rd 1914]
Present All the Directors except Messrs Coffey, Green & Wright.
Minutes The minutes of the last Meeting and of the Finance
Meeting were read and confirmed.
Clark Mr. Clayton reported his visit to Swansea and
could not recommend Clark.
Having spoken favourably of Nixon it was resolved
that he be seen play again and the Secretary was
instructed to ascertain if Linfield would transfer him
and if so at what price.
Bailiff Mr. Clayton reported that this Goalkeeper played very
(Llanelly) well and should be kept in view.
Lockett & Messrs Kirkwood and Coffey reported their visit to
Davies Northampton and could not recommend Lockett, Davies
or Clipston but that Colclough of Crystal Palace was
worth seeing again. The Secretary was instructed
to ascertain if he could be obtained and at what fee.
Travis Settle reported his visit to Darlington and that this
player played very well and it was resolved that
Settle see him play again at South Shields on
Saturday next and the Secretary was instructed to

pay Settle his expenses amounting to 12/6.
Ratcliffe, Mr. Halsall and John Fare reported their visit to
Campsey & Walsall, that Ratcliffe was worth seeing again
Cook but that they could not recommend Campsey or
Cook.
