The use of the ground was granted to Catholic Charity
Competition for their final tie on the evening of the
20th prox. and to the Liverpool & District Wednesday
Cup Competition on the 22nd prox., but were
unable to grant the use of the ground to the following:-
Messrs. Schorah & Revell, The Hamilton Mission F. C.,
The Kirkdale Charity F. C., The Liverpool Carters and
the Westminster F. C.
The Secretary was instructed to offer the West
Monmouthshire League a fixture at Goodison
Park on the 11th prox. on half gate terms.
It was decided to arrange no friendly fixtures for
the first team at Goodison Park.
The Secretary reported that the League proposed to
assist the Clubs in fixing their holiday fixtures for
next season and that he had informed them that
our home holiday dates for next season were
December 25th, January 1st and Good Friday and
away fixtures December 26th and Easter Monday.
The Secretary reported having been recommended
a player of Aston Villa F. C. named John
McLachlan aged 24, 5 ft. 9 ins., 12 stone weight
who was when signed by Aston Villa a very prominent
player of Dundee F. C., that he was reported to
have a free transfer and to be desirous of a change,
that John Fare had seen him play on Saturday
last at Birmingham but that he had played
out of his position namely at left half back, but
that he Mr. Fare knew him to be a very good
inside forward.
