250 [Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park February 3rd 1914] Present Messrs Kelly (Chair) Davies Green Kirkwood Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Mr. Wm. Wallace having supplied particulars of the 20/- due from the Club to him, it was resolved that the same be paid. Robertson Mr. Green reported having deputed Edwin to take his place. Edwin reported that Robertson's play improved as the game went on and that he should be seen again. Neill Mr. Kelly reported having deputed Mr. J. G. Davies to go to Ormskirk to see this outside right. Mr. Davies reported that this player should not be lost sight of and that Allan the right full back of St. Cleopas F. C. who however played right half back in this game should also be kept in view. John Fare reported his visit to Willington to see Ritchie the right half back play and that whilst he played very well he did not think if would be adviseable to engage him say for another twelve months. He also reported having heard that Young the reserve outside left of South Shields was playing very well and it was resolved to ask Settle to see Young play on Saturday next and report.
