		and that J. Roberts the outside left of Crewe Alexandra
		played very well and was well worth further
		consideration. That F. Roberts, Crewe's inside
		right was too small. That Pearson the Stalybridge
		left half was also a very good player and worth
		further consideration.

		The Secretary and John Fare reported their visit
		to Shildon to see Cooper the outside right of Newcastle
		United play but they did not see enough of his
		play to warrant any recommendation.
		Newcastle having telephoned that they would accept
		£1000 for Cooper, it was decided to defer the consideration
		thereof to next meeting.

Beare		An inquiry having come from Burnley as to the price
		of Beare's transfer, the Secretary was instructed to
		negotiate with them at £1500.

		On the motion of Mr. Davies, seconded by Mr. Coffey,
		Dr. Baxter having intimated that Wednesday night
		was most unsuitable for him to attend the meetings,
		it was resolved that future meetings be held on
		Tuesday's at 7 p.m.

		Mr. Kirkwood reported his visit to the International
		match at Wrexham on Monday and that there was
		nothing that would suit us.

		The action of the Secretary in arranging to play
		Woolwich Arsenal at Highbury on the 31st inst. on half
		gross gate terms with a guarantee of £100 was
		confirmed.
