The Secretary read an application by J. P. Brown
for a trial at outside right that he was on Stoke's open
to transfer list at £50, that he was prepared to come
on a month's trial and that Stoke were prepared to
accept £5 for such trial. It was resolved that his
application be acceded to and that he be played in
the team against Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday next.
In the event of Brown being unable to play it was
resolved that Beare play outside right and Kirby
outside left.
Messrs Kirkwood & Coffey were deputed to visit the
Bury v Hull match tomorrow and report.
That John Fare visit the Tottenham v Leicester Fosse
match on Thursday and report.
That Mr. Kelly and the Secretary visit the Crewe v
Stalybridge match on Thursday and report.
That John Fare visit the Haslingden & Tranmere Rovers
match on Saturday next and report.
That any Directors desiring to make the journey to
the International match on Monday next at Wrexham
be at liberty to do so.
