Strettle The Chairman read a letter from Exeter City F.C.
offering £50 for the transfer of Strettle, £25 to
be paid at once and £25 on January 1st 1914.
Stockport County had also written inquiring the
amount of the fee on this player. The Assistant
Secretary was instructed to wire Stockport County F.C.
that we had a firm offer from another Club and
unless they were prepared to pay the amount placed
on this player (£75) we would have to close
with the other Club.
Wright This player having asked permission for an
extension of time for his attendance for training
and same having been refused - a letter was
read from him stating that he was making a
trip on the S/S "Canadian" and would be unable
to attend for training until August 20th. It
was decided to suspend Wright for one month
from July 26th 1913.
Wareing The Assistant Secretary was instructed to order a
nine months contract for Wareing to travel between
Southport and Liverpool.
