137 Strettle The Chairman read a letter from Exeter City F.C. offering £50 for the transfer of Strettle, £25 to be paid at once and £25 on January 1st 1914. Stockport County had also written inquiring the amount of the fee on this player. The Assistant Secretary was instructed to wire Stockport County F.C. that we had a firm offer from another Club and unless they were prepared to pay the amount placed on this player (£75) we would have to close with the other Club. Wright This player having asked permission for an extension of time for his attendance for training and same having been refused - a letter was read from him stating that he was making a trip on the S/S "Canadian" and would be unable to attend for training until August 20th. It was decided to suspend Wright for one month from July 26th 1913.
