136 [Meeting of Directors held at the Bradford Hotel, July 25th 1913] Present W. R. Clayton Esq. (Chair) Messrs Coffey Davies Kirkwood Wright Royal Visit The Chairman submitted the accounts in connection with the Royal visit to Goodison Park amounting to £305 and it was decided that the Club should bear £200 of this expense. Fred Wilkins & Brother having written asking for cheque in settlement of their account of £155- the Assistant Secretary was instructed to endeavour to obtain a discount of 5% off this amount as the Directors were of opinion that the charge was excessive. The Assistant Secretary reported the receipt of cheque for marking out ground &c. for £4:6:0 from the Director of Education and he was instructed to pay this cheque into the Bank to the club's credit. Annual It was decided to vote twenty guineas to the meeting expenses Auditors for extra services examining proxies and taking charge of the voting and other duties at the Annual meeting. Income Tax The Chairman reported that he had interviewed the Surveyor of Taxes and had obtained a reduction in the assessment from £1156 to £741.
