G. Turner The Secretary reported the receipt of an application
from Gilbert Turner, goalkeeper of Pontypridd
late of Aston Villa for an engagement, that the
transfer fee was £50 and he was instructed to
offer Turner an engagement at £3: 10/- per
week in the summer and £4 in the winter
with a £10 bonus and a transfer fee of £50
to Aston Villa.
Holbem Greenock Morton F.C. having inquired for Holbem
the Secretary was instructed to accept £300 for
his transfer.
Mitchell The Secretary's action in offering £100 to Motherwell
for the transfer of this goalkeeper was confirmed
and he was instructed to offer Mitchell an
engagement at £3 per week.
Nuttall The Secretary reported that this Manchester United
centre forward or inside right aged 23 height 5'8½"
weight 10 stone 10lbs had refused to accept the terms
offered him by Manchester United and had accordingly
been placed on the open to transfer list but that
no amount had yet been fixed as his transfer fee.
It was resolved that Nuttall be offered an engagement
on the best terms provided that in the Secretary's
opinion the transfer fee was reasonable.
John Allan The Secretary reported an inquiry from Rochdale
for Allan's transfer. It having transpired that
the League had reduced Allan's transfer fee to
£50 the Secretary was instructed to accept £25
for his transfer.
