Davidson The Secretary read a letter from Middlesbro
stating Mr. Gunter was away on the continent
but asking us to make them an offer for
Davidson, and it was resolved to defer the
matter until the next meeting pending Mr.
Gunter's return.
Rafferty The Secretary read a letter from the Airdrieonians
stating they could not pay any more than £50
for this player. Resolved that we do not accept
less than £75.
Stirling The Secretary read a letter from Clyde F.C
offering us this O. R. but it was resolved not
to do anything
Bannister An application by this player for an engagement
was declined.
Elliott A player of this name was very strongly recommended
by Nelson who mentioned that Newcastle were
after him. The Secretary was instructed to write
Nelson and obtain full particulars.
The transfer lists of Preston, Falkirk, St. Mirren,
& Queens Park were read, but nothing was done.
Aston Villa It was reported that the Management Committee
Claim had decided that compensation was due from us
to Aston villa in respect of unfulfilled league
match and that the amount had been agreed
upon at 200 guineas. This was confirmed & cheque
for that amount was ordered to be sent to Aston Villa.
