	Special Committee Meeting held Saturday Feby 7th 1891

	Present	Messrs Barclay (in the chair) Coates, Jackson, Howarth,
		Williams, Wilson, Ramsay & the Secretary. Mr.Clayton being
		away with the Everton team.

		The Chairman stated the object of the meeting & afterwards
		called upon Messrs Sandham & Richards to state what
		information they had respecting the rumours & Mr Ramsay
		also gave a statement on the subject.

		Mr. R. Richmond denied the whole of the statements made &
		called as witnesses several gentleman who stated that they
		were with Mr. Richmond, when these conversation took
		place & denied that Mr. Richmond made the changes
		against Brady.

		After all the evidence had been heard, the Committee decided
		to hand to the press the following statement.

		A special meeting of the Committee of the Everton F Club was
		held to day to enquire into the serious charges made against
		certain members of the team in the North End match it was
		unanimously resolved, that such charges are entirely without
		foundation and the Committee further take this opportunity
		of expressing their full confidence in their players.

		The Committee authorised the Selection Committee to carry
		out the agreements with Holt & Chadwick on terms stated.
