Committee Meeting held October 20th 1890

Present		J. Houlding Esq. (in the chair) Messrs Barclay, Williams,
		Jackson, Howarth, Brooks, Ramsay, Clayton, & Dr. Baxter.
		The Secretary being away with the team at Stoke.

Minutes		of last meeting read & confirmed.


Advertising	Resolved that the secretary report to the next meeting what
		arrangements have been made re adv. on the Ground.

Benefit match	Resolved that a match be arranged for the benefit of Dick,
		Farmer & Jolliffe, the arrangements to be left to a 
		subsequent Committee meeting. The gross receipts to be equally
		divided between the three.

Sub-Committee	Resolved that a sub-committee be appointed to carry out
		the above arrangements consisting of Messrs Jackson, Brooks,
		Howarth with Mr. Barclay as Treasurer.

Team		v W. B. Albion- Angus, Hannah, Doyle, Kirkwood, Holt,
		Campbell, Latta, Brady, Geary, Chadwick & Milward.
		v Rawtenstall- Smalley, Dobson, Creswell, Martin, R. Jones,
		Parry, Gordon, McGregor, Hammond, McMillan & Carmen.

Meeting		Resolved that the committee meet on Friday night at 7 O'clock
		to make final arrangements of teams.

Ground		Resolved that the Ground Committee be instructed to have the 
		grass cut before Saturday next.

New members	Resolved that Messrs Talbot, Verso, Minshell & Smith
		be members of the Club.

EVENTS
202 The possibility of playing baseball at the ground was considered. The ground was felt to be unsuitable.
232 Photograph of players taken at Sunderland. In was agreed that each player should have a copy. The team names: 1st and 2nd team were adopted.
243 £100 to be paid to Mr Houlding towards the Club’s loan account with him.
273 Gordon had to promise to keep in proper condition to play football
274 12 medals were ordered from Vaughton and sons.
