Dobson This former player & captain applied personally for the
Everton team to play at Southport in a match for his
benefit some evening in May. It was considered that
owing to the number of matches already arranged for in
May & other considerations, the request could not be complied
with.
Team for Saturday & Monday - The selection was the same as played
in Scotland with the exception of Gearey vice Hammond
centre. Reserves Hammond, A. O. Davies (if possible) & Weir.
Charity Match at Hoylake by Reserve Team. It was resolved that
the expenses of the Team be not changed.

Committee Meeting held Tuesday April 29th 1890
Present: Messrs Houlding (in the chair) Ramsey, Henderson,
Fleming, Maxwell, Currier, Coates, Clayton, Brooks,
& Williams.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were passed.
Business arising out of the Minutes.
£3.8.6 due half gate Preston N. E. Reserve v Everton Res.
was ordered to be deducted from amount due
to Preston from Match last night.
Chadwick. Mr. Coates narrated a conversation with
this player's father. The matter is still pending.
Hannah not yet having given any decision as to
signing for next year, no settlement was arrived at but
Hendry of the Rangers was favourably spoken of, &
it was resolved to take him in any case at a
sum not to exceed £20 down & £3 per week.
Smalley is not to be engaged for next season.
Weir is to be engaged at £1.15 for playing & £1 non-playing.
Waugh is also engaged on the same terms.
Holt is to be allowed to play for the County on Saturday next.
