		Committee Meeting held Tuesday April 8th 1890

		Present : Messrs Houlding (in the chair) Brooks, Wilson,
		Ramsey, Henderson, Flemming, Maxwell, Williams,
		Clayton & Coates. (The Secretary confined to his bed).

		The Minutes of the last meeting were read & confirmed.

		Accounts to the amount of £127.8.0½ were passed & the
		Balance now in hand stated to be £464.9.5. The
		following items were noted for further examination.
		      Clayton £10.8.0 of which £5.0.0 to Angus. Agreed.
		      Rolling ground 7/- Query paid before in Veal's a/c.
		      Hammond 10/- Query part of gratuity. Agreed.
		      Cox £4.0.0 in lieu of worth - Query is it part of
		           tour engagement?

		Tampering with Turnstiles : After considerable dis-
		cussion the Chairman was asked to give special at-
		tention to this subject & eventually it was resolved
		"That it be an instruction to the Treasurer to cease to
		employ the three men Dry, Austin & Watkins owing
		to discrepancies in their Turnstile accounts."

		Gearey : It was decided that this player be requested
		to meet the Committee on Monday.

		Lindsay (of Accrington). The Com decided not to entertain
		any offer from this player till he was authoritatively
		cleared from Accrington Club.

		New Players. It was announced that Angus (Sunderland)
		had been engaged for next season at £2 per week for the
		non-playing season (May to September) and £2.10.0 for the
		playing season : also that Campbell (Bootle) was also engaged.
EVENTS
202 The possibility of playing baseball at the ground was considered. The ground was felt to be unsuitable.
232 Photograph of players taken at Sunderland. In was agreed that each player should have a copy. The team names: 1st and 2nd team were adopted.
243 £100 to be paid to Mr Houlding towards the Club’s loan account with him.
273 Gordon had to promise to keep in proper condition to play football
274 12 medals were ordered from Vaughton and sons.
