		Committee Meeting Held Tuesday 8th October 1889

		Present		J. Houlding Esq. (in the Chair) Messrs Wilson, Jackson,
				Ramsay, Currier, Clayton, Brooks, Fleming & Molyneux.

		Minutes		Minutes of previous meeting read & confirmed.

		Finance		Accounts read out & signed by Chairman Total £57.2.11

		G. Farmer	It was stated that Farmer's agreement for wages during
				playing season was incorrect & Resolved that his
				wages be increased to 35/- per week from 1st Sep
				to 30th April.

		Burnley Match	Resolved that the question of arranging another
				match at Burnley in lieu of the one postponed on
				Monday last be left in the hands of the Secretary.

		Celtic Match	The Secretary reported that he had arranged a
				match with the Celtic on the 12th Inst at Glasgow
				making the fixtures home & home - Resolved that
				the arrangement with Moffat & Stoke Swifts be
				left in Secretary's hands.

		Players		Resolved that Messrs Jackson, Brooks & Molyneux
				with the President be appointed a sub-committee
				for the engaging of players for next Season.

		Loan		Resolved that the Treasurer be authorised to draw
				from the President, a sum not exceeding £100.

		Away Matches	Resolved that 2 members of Committee in addition
				to the 2 Executive officers have their expenses paid
				to away matches - the selection to be arranged
				weekly amongst each other.
EVENTS
202 The possibility of playing baseball at the ground was considered. The ground was felt to be unsuitable.
232 Photograph of players taken at Sunderland. In was agreed that each player should have a copy. The team names: 1st and 2nd team were adopted.
243 £100 to be paid to Mr Houlding towards the Club’s loan account with him.
273 Gordon had to promise to keep in proper condition to play football
274 12 medals were ordered from Vaughton and sons.
