On 6 April 1909 the directors selected the following players for the South American tour - Scott, R. Balmer, Maconnachie, Harris, Taylor, Adamson, Clifford, Jones, Lacey, Freeman, White, Rafferty and Mountford. Scott was later replaced by Berry because he was unwell. The officials in charge were Mr E. Bainbridge and Mr A. Wade.
