In Montevideo Everton played a Uruguayan League XI narrowly winning 2-1. The director, Mr Bainbridge, blamed Everton's below par performance on a substantial lunch before the game. Freeman scored another hat-trick in Everton's final match of the tour against Spurs in a 4-0 win. The popularity of the tour is clear from the size of the crowds.
