Daniel Kirkwood - Footballer and Director

On 8 July 1891 Kirkwood had married Charlotte Lithgow. She lived in Coniston Street - the same street as Kirkwood - with her widowed mother. Charlotte's father, Peter, had been a master mariner from Scotland. When he married Kirkwood recorded his occupation as miner. This was probably his occupation at the shale oil works in Linlithgow, where he was employed before becoming a professional footballer.
