William 'Dixie' Dean (1907-1980)
Dixie Dean was the first Everton player to wear the No.9 shirt - in the 1933 F.A. Cup Final. He is one of the Club's most famous and successful players, winning two League Championships, a Second Division Championship and the F.A. Cup. He also holds the record for the most goals scored in a Football League season, scoring 60 goals in 1927-1928.
