New Items Added to the Everton Collection

Since the Everton Collection launched in June 2008 people have generously been donating memorabilia to widen the range of the Collection.  Here we take a look at some of the interesting and quirky donations.

With the World Cup fast approaching the recent donation of a ticket to the semi-final of the World Championship Jules Rimet Cup at Goodison in 1966 is particularly appropriate.  The ticket is in its original sleeve.

Fans have given the Collection passes for Wembley Stadium and other memorabilia from Everton's F.A. Cup semi-final and final matches in 2009.

Everton F.C. has donated home and away shirts for the 2008-09 seasons, some of which belonged to Phil Neville and Louis Saha.

Among the more quirky items donated are a silver mouse embossed with the Everton crest complete with a matching mat for the discerning computer user.  There are also Everton silver salt and pepper shakers.

The Collection has acquired a copy of a photograph of Alan Ball's first goal for Everton, scored against Fulham in a 1-0 win for the Blues.  A descendant of Daniel Kirkwood has donated photographs of Kirkwood, who played for Everton from 1889-91 and was later a director.

The Club has given an amazing cartoon produced by Bill Tidy to celebrate Everton's 100 seasons in the top flight in 2003.  It's in the style of a banner and tells an epic tale of Everton fans and their adventures.

We'd like to say a BIG thank you to all the fans who have donated items so far and have helped to increase the quality and scope of the Everton Collection.
