Over 300 schoolchildren took part in the Merseyside World Cup 2010 Schools Festival, which was organised by The Everton Collection Charitable Trust, for the European Former Players Association (EFPA) Conference on the 15th and 16th April.

32 primary school teams of Year 6 boys and girls from across Merseyside marked World Cup year by taking part in their own World Cup  style qualifying tournament. The qualifying tournament was held on the 31st March at PlayFootball in Crosby. The four teams that went through to play at the Echo Arena during the EFPA Champions Cup night were: Holy Rosary Catholic Primary, Aintree; Emmaus CE & RC Primary, Croxteth; Federated Schools of St Sebastians & St Cuthberts; and St Teresa's Junior School.

The Finals were played at the Echo Arena on Friday 16th April, and after a hard fought final, Holy Rosary won the tournament.
